Lauren Walsh Appointed Touring Professional for The Island Golf Club
Lauren Walsh has been named the new touring professional for The Island Golf Club. A native of Kildare and a seasoned player with cards on both the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LPGA Tour, Walsh has been a member of the esteemed north Dublin links course for over a decade.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the partnership, Walsh stated, "I’m thrilled to be partnering with The Island Golf Club. I’ve been a member here for ten years and I absolutely love the course. When I’m back in Ireland, I really enjoy the true links test at The Island, and it really helps me tighten up areas of my game that need work. Their whole team have been so supportive over the years, and I am so proud to be representing them."
Donal Boyle, the Club President of The Island, shared the club's pride in the new arrangement: "We are incredibly proud to formally announce our partnership with Lauren as our Official Touring Professional. Lauren has been a valued member of The Island for over ten years, and we’ve had the privilege of watching her develop from a talented amateur into an LPGA Tour player. Her work ethic, humility and competitive spirit embody everything we stand for as a club. To see her earn her 2026 LPGA status after such a stellar season on the Ladies European Tour is a fantastic achievement, and we are delighted to support her as she represents The Island on the world stage. She is a wonderful ambassador for both Irish golf and our club."
Walsh will act as a significant ambassador for The Island Golf Club during LPGA Tour events and other international competitions throughout the year. While in Ireland, she will utilize The Island's practice facilities.
